Women's Track & Field Team Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Recognition
NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Ten NC State athletes have received individual U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic accolades, as announced by the organization on Monday. The honors marked the most that the Wolfpack has collected in a single season between its the women's and men's programs.
In addition, the NC State women's track and field team has been named a 2019 USTFCCCA NCAA Division I All-Academic Team for the third consecutive year.

Elly Henes (3x) and Gavin Gaynor (2x) led the way for the Pack as repeat award recipients.

Nell Crosby, Emma Ferguson, Nevada Mareno, Savannah Shaw and Julia Zachgo are first-time honorees on the women's side. The Pack women's six representatives tie for the most in program history (2016, 2017).

Crosby was recently named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America Cross Country/Track & Field team, becoming the first Wolfpack cross country/track and field student-athlete to do so since 2016, and was named to the 2019 All-ACC Academic Women's Outdoor Track & Field Team.

Jamar Davis, Shannon Patterson and Grant Rivers earn the distinction for the first time. Davis and Patterson also garnered 2019 All-ACC Academic Men's Outdoor Track and Field Team status.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
- For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
- For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
