Â
NC State evened the series on Saturday, holding off a two-out rally in the ninth inning by the Irish with a 4-2 win. The Wolfpack once again faced a deficit in the contest, but a four-run surge in the sixth along with holding off the late rally allowed the squad to earn a come-from-behind win for the 17th time this season.
Â
Despite taking an early lead in the rubber match on Sunday, the Pack surrendered a combined four runs in the fifth and sixth innings to fall 4-1.
Â
