The Wolfpack will host NC Central (17-23) Tuesday and welcomes Campbell (21-26) to Raleigh on Wednesday. Both games are set for 6 p.m. starts and will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
GAME PROMOTIONS:
Tuesday, April 23 – 6 p.m.
Wednesday, April 24 – 6 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY:
Tuesday's meeting between NC State and NC Central will be the fourth matchup between the programs, as the Wolfpack leads the all-time series 3-0. This week's contest will be the first time the teams have faced each other since April 23, 2015, a game that NC State won by an 8-0 score in six innings.
Wednesday will mark the 22nd all-time meeting for the Pack and the Camels, with NC State leading that series by a 19-2 count. The teams have already matched up twice during the 2019 season. NC State beat Campbell 8-0 in five innings on March 2 and went on to earn a 9-1 win over the Campbell in six innings the next day.
LAST TIME OUT:
NC State took two of its three games in a weekend series at Duke to claim its second ACC series of the season. The Pack won the first game in nine innings and went on to take Sunday's rubber match to secure the series victory.
The Pack hit three home runs in the top of the third inning in the final game of the series, marking NC State's 12th multi-home run game of the season. Brigette Nordberg, Skylar Johnston and April Visser all went yard in the frame to build up the Wolfpack's lead, and the team went on to secure the 5-4 win.
HOME RUN MINDSET:
After hitting five home runs in its four games last week, NC State's season total is up to 52 long balls with eight games left to play in the regular season. That number ranks seventh in program history in single-season home runs.
