The Pack Takes on Clemson, Appalachian State
RALEIGH --Â The No. 11 NC State women's tennis team plays host to a doubleheader with Clemson and Appalachian State Fri., March 8 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.

The Pack is tabbed at No. 11 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings, as announced Tuesday. In the individual rankings, the Pack features three singles players and one doubles duo.

The team has won six of its last seven matches, and four of those victories have been against ranked opponents (No. 14 Virginia, No. 36 Boston College, No. 49 Louisville, No. 44 Notre Dame).

This season, No. 28 Anna Rogers has defeated 10 nationally-ranked singles opponents. On court one, the Stamford, Conn., native is 10-4 in dual season.

Playing on court two, freshman Alana Smith is ranked No. 90. Named ACC Freshman of the Week twice this season, Smith has won seven of her last 10 singles matches.

Adriana Reami, ranked 103rd, has won nine of her last 10 matches, needing only straight sets in six of her wins. The Miami, Fla., native is 4-1 in singles conference play this season.

Rogers and Smith are the 12th-ranked doubles duo. The junior-freshman duo boasts a 21-3 record, including a 4-1 record in conference play. With six nationally-ranked wins, they have defeated two top-15 doubles opponents this season (No. 5 Janet Koch and Nina Khelnitckaia - Kansas, No. 13 Meghan Kelley and Sofia Munera - Virginia).

NC State's 4-1 record in conference play is the team's best start in over 20 years. The Pack earned back-to-back ranked wins on the road over No. 14 Virginia and No. 36 Boston College to start conference play, and has also defeated No. 49 Louisville and No. 44 Notre Dame.
