
Wolfpack Remains In Second Through Two Rounds At Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The NC State women's golf team put together another strong round on Saturday at the Bryan National Collegiate in Browns Summit, N.C., posting a one-under par 287 to remain in second place out of 18 teams with one round to go. Four Wolfpack players are in the top 21 of the individual standings.
The Wolfpack has shot a combined 572 (-4) through 36 holes, and is 18 strokes behind leader and co-host No. 12 Wake Forest (556, -20). This weekend's field features seven top 50 teams, and five of those ranked squads are in the ACC.
Naomi Ko paced the Pack on Saturday with a season-low 70 (-2) to share a tie for 11th with teammate Laura Kowohl with a combined 143 (-1), as Kowohl fired a one-over 73 in round two.
India Clyburn remains in fourth place out of 96 players in the individual standings as she shot an even-par 72 for a three-under 141 total . Lea Klimentova bounced back after a tough first round and also shot 72 to move 28 spots up the player standings to T36th with a combined 150 (+6).
Mim Sangkapong rounded out the Pack's top five with a two-over 74 and is in a tie for 21st with a three-over 147.
Monika Hartl, who is competing as an individual this weekend, shot a five-over 77 to move into a tie for 43rd with a seven-over 151.
NC State will wrap up competition Sunday at the Bryan National, as it is on pace to post its best tournament finish of the season. The final round is an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, and the Pack is on holes one through three with Wake Forest and North Carolina.
