
Wolfpack Heads To Boston College For Weekend Series

RALEIGH – NC State softball (17-14, 0-6 ACC) will hit the road this weekend for its third ACC series of the year when it travels to Boston College (10-17, 2-4 ACC). The teams will play Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. at Harrington Athletics Village, and all three games will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
Series History
Friday will be the 38th meeting between the teams, as NC State leads the all-time series, 22-15.
The teams last met April 6-8, 2018, in Raleigh for three games and the Pack suffered a series sweep.
Boston College has won the last three series between the teams.
Last Time Out
The Pack hosted UNCW on Wednesday evening and held off the Seahawks, 3-2, to snap a six-game losing streak. It was a complete team effort as the Pack posted one run apiece in the second, third and fourth innings, and pitchers Sydney Nester and Devin Wallace struck out 14 total batters as Wallace collected the win and Nester picked up her first career save.
Angie Rizzi belted the team's 37th run of the season in the contest, and that number ranks 10th all-time in the program record books through just 31 games played.
Scouting Boston College
The Eagles are coming off of an 8-3 loss to UMass Lowell on Wednesday after clinching its first two wins in conference play last weekend. BC took its series with Syracuse after suffering a sweep at UNC-Chapel Hill in its ACC opener two weeks ago.
As a team Boston College is batting .256, as Lexi DiEmmanuele leads the squad offensively with a .360 clip, 32 hits, three triples, 16 runs and 43 total bases. The Eagles are averaging 6.25 hits and 3.48 runs per game.
