Pack to Face Florida State at Home on Friday

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's tennis team will host another ranked ACC matchup on Friday evening as the 23rd-ranked Wolfpack (13-7, 4-2 ACC) welcomes No. 26 Florida State to Raleigh. The match is set for a 5 p.m. start from the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center and will be streamed live on the ACC Network Extra.
MATCH INFO:
Admission to all home matches is free. Fans who plan on attending Friday's match will need to obtain a virtual event parking permit to park in the West Deck or West Lot if they plan on arriving before 5 p.m. A link to this free parking pass can be found here.
Friday's match against Florida State is Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day, and we invite all NC State staff and faculty members to join us. NC State koozies will be given away to the first 200 fans in attendance, as will free Chick-fil-a sandwiches (while supplies last). Fans can enter to win an NC State prize pack that includes tickest to an upcoming NC State baseball game against Virginia.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Pack went a perfect 2-0 on its weekend as it came away from its first ACC road trip of the season with a pair of wins. Facing Boston College and No. 14 Notre Dame, NC State did not drop a single team point on the way to blanking both teams.
NC State opened its weekend by beating the Eagles by a 4-0 score. The squad went on to pick up its third victory over a ranked opponent and second top-15 win of the season as it defeated the Fighting Irish 5-0.
The Pack won the doubles point in both matches, extending its doubles point winning streak to five matches.
PACK IN THE POLLS:
NC State returned to the top 25 of the national standings as it checked in at No. 23 in the latest release of the poll. It's the highest ranking this season for the Pack since it was tabbed 21st on Feb. 6.
Alexis Galarneau is ranked a season-best No. 18 in singles, just two spots below the highest ranking of his career. The Wolfpack junior has put together a 13-4 record on the season, including an impressive 5-1 clip in ACC action. Six of his victories have come against ranked opponents.
Galarneau and Michael Ogden returned to the doubles rankings in the latest poll, checking in at No. 57. The duo was named ACC Doubles Team of the Week after going 2-0 over the weekend. They have won three consecutive doubles matches as a pair and have compiled a 7-2 record on the season.
SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES:
Florida State is 14-5 on the season and matches the Pack's clip of 4-2 in conference play headed into Friday's matchup. The squad is currently tabbed No. 26 in the nation and has been featured in the Oracle/ITA rankings for the entirety of the 2019 dual season. The Seminoles enter the weekend on four-match winning streak.
Lucas Poullain is the only ranked Seminole in singles. He is No. 84 in the nation having lost only one decision during dual match play. Poullain is also an impressive 4-1 in ACC action this season. Alex Knaff and Aziz Dougaz come into Friday's match ranked No. 59 in the nation in doubles.
