
Pack Moves Up Standings in Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate

AWENDAW, S.C. - The NC State men's golf team moved up four positions to 10th place after two rounds of play of the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate.
NC State shot a two-over par 290 to stand at five-over par for the tournament. The Pack is one shot back of ninth place and two shots back of eighth place with one final round to go.
The Pack was led on Monday by junior Benjamin Shipp who shot a three-under par 69 to move up 17 spots into a tie for 14th place on the individual leaderboard with a two-round score of two-under par.
Harrison Rhoades is next for the Pack at one-over par for the tournament and is in a tie for 30th place.
Stephen Franken and Easton Paxton are tied for 54th place at five-over par for the tournament. Both Franken and Paxton shot a 73 on Sunday and 76 on Monday.
Christian Salzer rounds out the Pack lineup in a tie for 65th place. After struggling on Sunday, Salzer shot the second-best round for NC State on Monday shooting an even-par 72.
College of Charleston shot the low team round of the day to take a two-shot lead on the field. Kent State is in second place, one shot ahead of South Carolina.
The third and final round starts Tuesday morning at 8 am. The NC State contingent starts off the 10th tee at 8:45 am.
