LAST TIME OUT:
NC State dropped a close 4-2 decision to second-ranked Wake Forest at home on Wednesday. The Pack came out strong in the match by taking the doubles point over the Demon Deacons, marking only the fourth time this season and the first time in 2019 ACC action that Wake Forest has dropped the opening point.
The Wolfpack added a win in singles action as Yannai Barkai won in straight sets on court four, but Wake Forest picked up four victories of its own to secure the win.
PACK IN THE POLLS:
NC State remained ranked in the top 30 of the national standings as it checked in at No. 30 in the latest release of the poll. The Pack has been featured in every poll since it first jumped into the rankings on Jan. 30.
Alexis Galarneau continued to rise in the singles rankings after another solid weekend during which he went unbeaten against a pair of opponents. The Wolfpack junior checked in at a season-best No. 18, just two spots below the highest ranking of his career, after defeating No. 15 Carl Söderlund of Virginia and Louisville's Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff last weekend.
Galarneau and Michael Ogden, who have posted a 6-2 record on the season as a pair, returned to the doubles rankings, checking in at No. 57.

Boston College carries a 4-8 overall record into Friday's match and is 0-5 in conference action in 2019. In 17 previous meetings, NC State has yet to lose a match to Boston College. The teams last met during the regular season in 2018 where the Pack picked up the 5-2 win over the Eagles in Raleigh.
SCOUTING THE FIGHTING IRISH:
Notre Dame has spent the entirety of the 2019 spring season ranked among the top 18 teams in the nation and checks in at No. 14 entering Sunday's match against the Pack. The Fighting Irish owns a 10-8 (3-2 ACC) record.
Two members of Notre Dame's squad are featured in the national rankings, led by senior Alex Lebedev, who is ranked 20th in singles. Richard Ciamarra joins him at No. 58 to round out the ranked singles players for the Fighting Irish. Ciamarra and Tristan McCormick were tabbed No. 21 in the latest doubles poll.
