
Softball Opens Conference Slate This Weekend With Virginia Tech

RALEIGH – Currently on a four-game win streak, the NC State softball team (16-8) is set to open its Atlantic Coast Conference schedule this weekend when it welcomes No. 25 Virginia Tech (18-4) to Dail Stadium for a three-game series.
Friday's contest was originally scheduled for 6 p.m., but has been moved up to 12 p.m. due to expected rain in the evening. Saturday and Sunday are still slated for 2 and 12 p.m. starts, respectively. All three games will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
A virtual parking pass for the Coliseum Deck will be required for fans attending Friday's game.
Series History
Friday will be the 36th all-time meeting between the Wolfpack and Hokies, and the teams have not met since March 5-6, 2016. NC State leads the all-time series, 20-15.
In the last series meeting, which was contested in Raleigh, NC State took the series 2-1. The Wolfpack has additionally won five of the last six games against Virginia Tech.

The Pack wrapped up a six-game road swing in Charleston, S.C., on Tuesday with an 8-2 (8) victory at Charleston Southern.
