Brady Reaches One-Meter Finals on First Day of Zone Championships

AUBURN, Ala. – NC State's divers opened up action at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships Monday at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center as the Pack men competed on the one-meter and the Wolfpack women competed on the three-meter.
FROM THE COACH:
"Today was not our finest performance, but there were a lot of positive takeaways from teaching each diver," said head diving coach Yahya Radman. "Tomorrow is a new day, and I think the jitters have been worked through."
MEET RECAP:
Brady advanced to the one-meter finals after placing in the top 18 during the prelims. Brady posted an overall score of 623.60 to place 13th overall after coming out of the prelims with a 317.35 mark.
Holt Gray was also in action in Monday's one-meter competition, where he placed 20th during the prelims with a 270.70.
The Wolfpack women competed on the three-meter on Monday, where Madeline Kline was the Pack's top finisher. She placed 24th in the prelims with a score of 261.65 to open her meet.
In her first time diving at the Zone Championships, freshman Taylor Bennett posted a 235.80, just shy of a personal best, on the way to placing 31st overall in the prelims.
UP NEXT:
NC State returns to action on Tuesday for the second day of action at the Zone Diving Championships. The women will compete on the one-meter board (12 p.m. EST), and the men are set for action on the three-meter (5 p.m. EST).
