
Pack Moves Up Three Spots in Second Round of Bandon Dunes Championship

BANDON, OR – The NC State men's golf team improves its team score by 26 shots in the second round to move up three spots into eighth place heading into the final round of the Bandon Dunes Championship held at the Bandon Dunes Resort.
Christian Salzer played perhaps his finest round at NC State in the second round of the tournament. The junior carded seven birdies and just two bogeys on the day to shoot a five-under par 67.
Salzer moved up 48 spots on the individual leaderboard and heads into the final round in a tie for 13th place.
Stephen Franken and Easton Paxton are next for the Pack in a tie for 30th place. Paxton shot a one-under par 71 in the second round, while Franken carded an even-par 72.
Both players are four-over par for the tournament.
Benjamin Shipp is one shot back in a tie for 40th place at five-over par. Shipp shot an even-par 72 on Monday.
Harrison Rhoades rounds out the Pack lineup in a tie for 75th place. Rhoades shot a three-over par 75 in the second round Monday.
Competing as an individual, Nolan Mills, Jr., shot a 75 in the second round and is in a tie for 83rd place.
Ohio State continues to lead the 17-team field. The Buckeyes have a two-shot lead over Utah. Denver is in third place, two shots back of Utah. The Pack is currently in eight place, four shots back of Boise State and SMU that are tied for sixth.
The third and final round begins Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
