Pack Tied for 11th After One Round of Bandon Dunes Championship

BANDON, OR – The NC State men's golf team is in a tie for 11th-place after the first round of the Bandon Dunes Champinship held at the Bandon Dunes Resort.
Senior Stephen Franken led the Pack with a with a four-over par 76 to stand in a tie for 37th place out of the 107 competitors.
Easton Paxton and Benjamin Shipp finished one shot back of Franken with a five-over par 77 and are tied for 45th place.
Christian Salzer shot a six-over par 78 to place in a tie for 61st and Rhoades rounded out the Pack lineup with a 79 and is currently tied for 71st.
Competing as an individual, Nolan Mills, Jr., shot an 82 in the first round and is a tie for 92nd place.
Despite shooting its highest team round of the season, the Pack is only nine shots behind third place.
Ohio State leads the 17-team field. Utah is in second place, three shots back of the Buckeyes. SMU and San Jose State are tied for third, five shots back of Utah.
The second round will begin Monday at 8:30 a.m.
