NC State sweeps North Carolina A&T, falls to South Carolina
RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 21 NC State men's tennis team continued its nine-match home stretch as it played host to South Carolina and North Carolina A&T Saturday, splitting the pair of matches at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The Pack picked up a dominant 7-0 win over the Aggies and fell 6-1 to the Gamecocks.
After Saturday's matches, NC State owns a 6-2 overall record on the season.
"Today was a good chance for us to go out and continue to build and get better," said head coach Kyle Spencer. "The guys were really focused and were able to handle the challenges of today well. We have a lot of guys that are very professional in how they handle these matches, and they value the matches they get to play because practice is so tough and competitive. I was excited for the guys to get another opportunity to be together as a team and be able to compete, and I thought we did a great job today."
