FEATURED MATCHUPS
157: #4 Hayden Hidlay vs. #11 Taleb Rahmani
A battle of the ACC's two ranked wrestlers and the two last ACC champions at 157 pounds, the rivalry extends back before college. Hidlay has won 10 in a row, eight for bonus points, and is 11-0 all-time vs. ACC opponents. Rahmani was the ACC Champion in 2017, and is 2-0 in ACC action thus far. The two faced off three times last year, with Hidlay taking all three: a major in the dual, an OT win at the ACC Championships, and a two-point win at the NCAAs.
184: #3 Nick Reenan vs. #13 Nino Bonaccorsi
Reenan returned to action for the first time since Jan. 6 with a first-period pin at UVA last week. Reenan is 3-1 vs. ranked foes this year, with a pair of top-6 wins. Bonaccorsi sits 13-5 on the season, as is coming off a 7-5 decision over #14 Ness of UNC last weekend.
SERIES VS. PITT
Sunday's dual marks just the sixth meeting between NC State and Pittsburgh. After the Panthers won the first matchup at home in 2014, the Pack has won the past four ACC battles, including last year at Pitt 23-9.
LAST YEAR VS. PITT
NC State jumped out to a 17-0 lead, winning the first five bouts, and went on to a 23-9 win at Pitt. The Wolfpack won seven of the 10 matches, and also came away with a pair of upsets over ranked Panthers.
