NC State Will Face No. 5 Georgia in the First Round

RALEIGH -- The NC State women's tennis team travels to Seattle, Wash., to compete at the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championship. Starting competition on Friday, Feb. 8, the Pack will face fifth-ranked Georgia in the first round at 9:30 p.m. ET.
Last Time Out
The Pack defeated No. 20 Texas Tech and Campbell in a doubleheader on Feb. 1, bringing the team's record to 6-0. The win over Texas Tech was the second match in a row in which the Wolfpack defeated a top-20 team and gave NC State its best start to a season since 2014, when it also tallied six wins in a row to open the season.
Pack in the Rankings
The NC State women's tennis team is tabbed at No. 14 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings, the highest ranking in program history.
The Pack also checks in tied for No. 10 in the latest weekly Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top 25 Rankings, as announced by the USTA on Wednesday.
Anna Rogers is tabbed as the 25th-ranked player in the Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings. Rogers clinched the Pack's historic 4-3 win against 11th-ranked Florida over No. 39 McCartney Kessler, 7-6 (4), 5-7, 6-4. Tallying eight wins against nationally-ranked singles opponents this season, Rogers leads the team in the category.
In doubles, Rogers and Alana Smith check in at No 9, the second-highest doubles ranking in program history. Rogers and Claudia Wiktorin held the highest ranking in program history in February 2018 at No. 7, along with Sanaa Bhambri and Sandhya Nagaraj.
The pair is 16-1 overall in doubles play, and is undefeated against nationally-ranked doubles opponents (5-0). Ninth-ranked Rogers and Smith have not lost a match in dual season.
The rankings also features doubles duo Bianca Moldovan and Liz Norman at No. 60. Moldovan and Norman have a 4-1 record in dual season.
Scouting the Opponent

The Bulldogs have swept their past two opponents, Kansas State and Clemson, 7-0. The roster features five ranked singles players: No. 2 Katarina Jokic, No. 10 Marta Gonzalez, No. 58 Vivian Wolff, T-No. 84 Meg Kowalski, and No. 102 Lourdes Carle.
