#11 NC State Hosts #1 UNC-CH in Conference Clash Wednesday

The Pack and Tar Heels are Undefeated in ACC Play
RALEIGH -- The 11th-ranked NC State women's tennis team (10-2, 2-0) will play host to top-ranked UNC-CH (13-1, 1-0) on Wed., Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.

Reami on a Roll
The Miami, Fla., native is on an eight-match win streak in singles. During the streak, Adriana Reami has collected two ranked wins (No. 102 Lourdes Carle - Georgia, No. 87 Katarina Kopcalic - Washington). In five of the eight matches, Reami has won in two straight sets.

The Pack enters Wednesday's match on a six-match win streak competing at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The team swept four of those matches (East Tennessee State, East Carolina, Utah, James Madison), and defeated No. 20 Texas Tech 4-3, battling to victory after dropping the doubles point.

NC State is off to its best start in 20 years in conference play at 2-0. In a two-match road stint to kick off ACC play, NC State defeated No. 14 Virginia on Friday, 5-2, and No. 36 Boston College Sunday, 5-2.

Dynamic Doubles Duo
No. 10 Anna Rogers and Alana Smith have proved to be a force this season. The junior-freshman duo is 19-2 overall, including a 9-1 record in the dual season. Undefeated against ranked doubles opponents (6-0), Rogers and Smith have claimed victories over two top-15 duos (No. 5 Janet Koch/Nina Khmelnitckaia - Kansas, No. 13 Meghan Kelley/Sofia Munera - Virginia).

The NC State women's tennis team is tabbed at No. 23 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings. The Pack claims four spots in the singles and doubles rankings combined, the most of the 2019 dual season for the team.

Rogers is the highest-ranked singles player for the Pack, checking in at No. 25. Since the beginning of dual season, Rogers has remained a presence in the top-25. Playing on court one this dual season, she has posted an 8-3 singles record, including four wins against ranked opponents.

No. 73 Alana Smith re-entered the rankings last week, her highest ranking to date. The Fort Washington, Md., native holds an 8-3 record in dual play, including a top-10 win against Georgia's No. 10 Marta Gonzalez.
