
Pack Concludes Second Round At Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The NC State women's golf team posted a combined 312 (+24) on Monday in the second round of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at English Turn Country Club in New Orleans, La. The squad dropped from T5th to 12th place out of 18 teams with a total of 607 (+31) for the tournament.
No. 3 Texas (576, E) continues to hold onto its lead in the team standings, while No. 1 Southern Cal (580, +4) and No. 5 Duke (582, +6) remain in the top three. The field features nine nationally-ranked teams.
Laura Kowohl and Mim Sangkapong posted the low scores of the day for the Wolfpack, as they shot a 75 (+3) and 78 (+6), respectively, and are in a tie for 46th out of 93 players. Kowohl improved three shots from Sunday's round and moved 23 spots up the leaderboard.
Lea Klimentova carded a seven-over par 79 to move to a tie for 52nd, while Monika Hartl and India Clyburn both posted an 80. Hartl dropped to T27th and Clyburn moved to T69th in the individual standings. It was Clyburn's 100th career round at NC State, and became the 11th player in program history to reach the milestone.
NC State will conclude competition Tuesday in New Orleans in a 9 a.m. ET shotgun start, and will be paired with Miami and LSU on holes 10-12.
