Women’s Golf Finishes 12th At Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Despite shaving seven strokes off of Monday's team total, the NC State women's golf team finished 12th out of 18 teams on Tuesday at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate. The Wolfpack shot a combined 305 (+17) in the final round to post a score of 912 (+48) for the tournament.
No. 3 Texas (876, +12) took the team title, while No. 5 Duke (878, +14) and No. 1 Southern Cal (887, +23) rounded out the podium.
Lea Klimentova finished the tournament where she started, carding a three-over par 75 in the final round, while Laura Kowohl wrapped up her showing with a 76. They were the top finishers for the Pack as they settled in a tie for 41st out of 93 players.
Mim Sangkapong and India Clyburn each posted a five-over 77 in round three, as Sangkapng finished in a tie for 44th and Clyburn finished T65th. Monika Hartl closed out competition with an 83 (+11) to take T58th individually.
NC State returns to action March 9-10 at the Suntrust Gator Invitational, hosted by Florida at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla.
