The Pack Posted Its Second-Highest Score of the Season
RALEIGH – The 28th-ranked NC State gymnastics team defeated 34th-ranked UNC-CH, 195.850-193.700, on Saturday inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum. The Pack collected 11 podium finishes and claimed four titles (all-around, vault, bars, floor) on its way to its second-highest score of the season. Tonight's meet marked the fourth-straight regular-season victory over the Tar Heels in the Kim Landrus era.
NC State moves to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in conference competition, while UNC-CH drops to 6-4 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
Drew Grantham's stellar floor performance earned a career-best 9.925 and the event title. That score marks her eighth career 9.9 and sixth on floor.
On bars, Lauren Kent posted a 9.900 for the second consecutive meet to claim the bars title. Teammate Alexa Phillips took home the vault title with a 9.875 performance.
In all-around competition, Caitlyn Fillard's season-best 39.225 earned her a first-place finish.

Fillard took home a silver-medal finish with a 9.850, while Melissa Brooker and Maggie Tamburro rounded out the podium placements, tying for third place with scores of 9.825.

Kasey Nelson followed up her career-best performance with another solid outing on Saturday, leading the Pack on beam with a score of 9.850. Her second-straight podium finish, Nelson tied for third place.
Floor (49.200)
Grantham's outstanding 9.925 floor routine anchored the Pack. Nicole Webb recorded a career-best 9.850, along with teammate Alexa Phillips' 9.850, to tie for second-place honors.
