RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State volleyball team is set for a pair of road matches this weekend, making the short trip to in-state foes, Wake Forest and Duke. The Wolfpack takes on Wake Forest Friday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. before a 1 p.m. match at Duke on Sunday, Nov. 10. Both games will be broadcast on ACCNX.
Jade Parchment looks to continue her strength on the outside for the Wolfpack. Parchment has averaged 4.06 kills per set across the last four matches, including a .317 hitting percentage, 2.25 digs per set and 0.5 blocks per set. Last weekend, the sophomore came out strong with a 9-of-11 performance against Clemson for a .818 hitting percentage, the highest in an ACC match this season. After missing matches against Boston College and Syracuse, Melissa Evans returned for NC State totaling 23 kills in the matches against Clemson and Georgia Tech. Evans leads the Wolfpack and is second in the ACC with 312 kills this season.
SCOUTING WAKE FOREST
Wake Forest had one of the program's best performances in the team's non-conference schedule, going 10-1 and opening the season 7-0. However, the Deacs have struggled in ACC play with a 1-11 record. Wake Forest has won only eight sets in conference play, with the team's lone ACC win coming Oct. 4 against Syracuse.

SCOUTING DUKE
Duke had won three consecutive ACC matches prior to taking on No. 2 Pitt last weekend. The Blue Devils swept Wake Forest and Virginia in addition to a four-set victory against Virginia Tech. Duke was close to becoming only the second ACC team to take a set against Pitt before it dropped the second set in that match 31-29.
The Blue Devils currently rank sixth in the ACC and 69th nationally with 2.33 blocks per set. Lily Cooper and Lizzie Flemming are two of the top-15 blockers in the conference, averaging 1.20 and 1.02 blocks per set, respectively. Ade Owokoniran has been a huge factor for Duke offensively, averaging 3.49 kills per set with a .226 hitting percentage.
