Wolfpack Heads to 2019 Oracle/ITA National Fall Champsionships

RALEIGH – The NC State women's tennis team is set to send four players to the 2019 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships this week. The event runs Nov. 6-10 in Newport Beach, Calif. The squad will be represented by Anna Rogers, Alana Smith, Adriana Reami and Jaeda Daniel.
Rogers, Smith and Reami earned entry into the singles and doubles draws. Daniel will join Reami in doubles competition.
The selection list announcement marked the most entries for the program in the history of the tournament.
DOMINANT IN DOUBLES
The Pack is 8-0 against ranked doubles opponents this fall season.
Rogers and Smith have competed in 10 doubles matches, posting a 9-1 record. They have a perfect 3-0 record against ranked opponents, and each of those three wins have been top-30 victories.
Daniel and Reami have five ranked wins, including four over top-30 opponents.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS
Rogers and Smith are tabbed as the nation's No. 1 doubles duo. In singles, Rogers sits at No. 8 and Smith at No. 40 while Reami is also featured in the rankings at No. 84.

NC State's three singles entries (Rogers, Smith, Reami) each hold a winning record against ranked opponents and a 9-4 combined record in the category.
AUTOMATIC BID
Rogers and Smith were crowned the 2019 ITA Carolina Regional doubles champions to secure their spot at the Oracle/ITA Fall National Championships.
The title marked the program's first at the tournament.
Rogers and Smith battled for the hardware as the final match was a 6-4, 6-2 decision.
The pair collected its third ranked win of the season to advance to the finals, defeating 23rd-ranked Mary Caroline Meredith and Eliza Omirou (Wake Forest).
The All-American duo went undefeated at the tournament in doubles competition, rattling off five consecutive wins to claim the title.

The Oracle ITA National Fall Championships features 128 of the nation's top collegiate singles players (64 men and 64 women) and 64 doubles teams (32 men's team and 32 women's teams). In its third year, having replaced the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, it is the lone event on the collegiate tennis calendar to feature competitors from all five divisions playing in the same tournament.
