Pack Concludes Its Four-Match Road Swing

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State volleyball team concludes its four-match road swing this weekend with a pair of matches at Miami and Georgia Tech. NC State (10-16, 5-9 ACC)'s last four consecutive matches have gone to five sets in addition to five of the last six.
Kaylee Frazier had a strong outing last weekend, tallying 19 digs in the win against Wake Forest before setting a program rally-scoring era record in Sunday's match against Duke with 38. Frazier's 38 digs are the third most in school history and most since 1992. The redshirt sophomore leads the team with 380 digs this season. Nina Sharpton also set a pair of personal-bests against Duke with 59 assists and 20 digs for her 11th double-double of the season.
Melissa Evans, Jessica Kemp and Jade Parchment have led the Pack in the last several matches. Each of the three has recorded double-digit kills in the last three matches. Evans has continued to lead NC State with 3.44 kills per set and ranks second in the ACC with 341 total kills.
THE SERIES
In the final stretch of ACC play, the Wolfpack will take on its first repeat opponents of the season. Against Miami earlier this season, NC State swept the Hurricanes for the first time since 2010 and fourth win all-time against Miami. That match is the Pack's only sweep against a conference opponent this season. In the earlier meeting this season, Jade Parchment recorded a then personal-best .500 hitting percentage and 12 kills.

SCOUTING MIAMI
Miami has won just three of its last 11 matches, defeating Syracuse, Virginia Tech and most recently Notre Dame. The Hurricanes are led by Preseason All-ACC selection Elizaveta Lukianov who is averaging 3.10 kills per set and a .283 hitting percentage. Lukianov is also third on the team with 0.75 blocks per set. Setter Savannah Vach ranks second in the ACC and 42nd nationally with 10.55 assists per set.
Miami currently ranks second in the ACC with 1.43 aces per set and 124 total aces this season. In the first meeting between the two programs, the NC State defense held the Hurricanes to just one.
SCOUTING GEORGIA TECH
Georgia Tech has won nine of its last 10 matches, which included an eight-game winning streak. The Yellow Jackets streak was snapped with a five-set loss to Pitt, making Georgia Tech the only ACC team to force the Panthers to five sets and only the second to go to four against the #2 ranked team in the nation.
The team's strong offense has been distributed by Matti McKissock who leads the conference in assists per set (11.14) and is 22nd nationally. As a team, Georgia Tech is 24th in the nation with a .270 hitting percentage and 19th with 14.13 kills per set. Kodie Comby has the second highest hitting percentage in the country with .442 while freshman Julia Bergmann ranks 107th with 3.54 kills per set. Bergmann is also 21st with 43 service aces this season.
