Five Advance to Main Draw Round of 16 at ITA Carolina Regional

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Five NC State women's tennis players advanced to the round of 16 in the main singles draw on Friday at the ITA Carolina Regional.
No. 8 Anna Rogers, No. 40 Alana Smith, No. 83 Lexi Keberle, No. 84 Adriana Reami and Liz Norman each won two matches on Friday to position them for play on Saturday.
With her two wins on Saturday, Reami hit 88 career singles wins, the second-most in program history behind Amanda Rebol's 89 wins.
In the first round of singles play, NC State posted six wins in the main draw.
Rogers and Smith moved to 5-1 on the season with an 8-6 victory over Wake Forest's Alexis Franco and Peyton Pesavento to advance to Saturday's doubles quarterfinal.
Sophomore Dylan Cannon went undefeated on the day with two straight-set wins in the singles B Draw.
