Wolfpack Set to Compete at ITA Carolina Regional

RALEIGH -- The NC State women's tennis team is set to compete at the ITA Carolina Regional Oct. 24-28 in Winston-Salem, N.C. All nine members of the NC State roster are entered in this weekend's draws.
The regionals doubles champions along with the regional singles champions and finalists automatically qualify for the season-ending Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in Newport Beach, Calif.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS
Five Wolfpack players are featured in the opening edition of the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division I Individual National Singles and Doubles Rankings. Anna Rogers and Alana Smith highlight the rankings for NC State as the All-Americans stand atop the doubles rankings at No. 1, marking the highest ranking in program history.
NC State's five players in the singles rankings ties for the most in the ACC (North Carolina).
Rogers is the highest-ranked singles player for the Pack, checking in at No. 8 for the Pack's best preseason ranking all-time.
Smith is tabbed at No. 40 while teammates Jaeda Daniel, Lexi Keberle and Adriana Reami are tabbed at No. 59, No. 83 and No. 84 respectively.
RACKING UP RANKED WINS
NC State has collected 19 ranked wins combined between singles and doubles play this fall. The squad boasts a perfect 7-0 doubles record in the category, including six top-30 wins. Daniel and Reami have contributed four upsets to the top-30 win count, including wins against two top-five opponents at the ITA All-American Championships.
In singles, the Pack has earned an impressive 12 ranked wins. Smith recorded the squad's first top-10 singles win of the season with a straight-set win over UCLA's ninth-ranked Jada Hart.
