
Wolfpack Travels To Pittsburgh Saturday

RALEIGH – NC State women's soccer (6-4-4, 1-1-4 ACC) will take a four-game unbeaten streak on the road this weekend when it travels to Pittsburgh (4-7-3, 1-3-2 ACC) Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Ambrose Urbanic Field in Pittsburgh, Pa., and the contest will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday will be the eighth meeting in program history between the Wolfpack and Panthers, as NC State owns a 5-2-0 advantage in the all-time series. The Pack has won the last three meetings, and last year on Sept. 23 it defeated Pitt, 6-0, in Raleigh.
The six goals were the most since the program's season opener in 2016 against La Salle at the Wake Forest Invitational on Aug. 19, when the Pack won 6-1. It was the largest margin of victory since Sept. 5, 2010, when NC State defeated Loyola Maryland 6-0 at home, and the largest margin of victory over an ACC team since Oct. 21, 1994, when the Pack won 7-1 at Wake Forest.
LAST TIME OUT
The squad battled to its second-straight draw against a ranked opponent on Sunday evening at home, as it tied with then-No. 20 Virginia Tech, 1-1.
Maxine Blackwood netted her first goal of the season in the 20th minute, but VT's Molly Feighan found the equalizer with 12 minutes to go in regulation. The contest was called three minutes into the first overtime period due to lightning and continuous rainfall in the area.

NC State checked in at 18 in this week's rated percentage index (RPI), moving four spots up from the previous week after a pair of draws against No. 1 Virginia and No. 20 Virginia Tech. Its overall schedule has been rated the toughest in the NCAA.
MIDSEASON RECOGNITION
Leyah Hall-Robinson, Jameese Joseph, Tziarra King and Ricci Walkling have been featured on TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top 100 Lists, as recently announced by the publication.
King and Walkling, who were featured in this year's preseason rankings, landed on the national list at No. 28 and 55, respectively. Joseph and Hall-Robinson were additionally named to the freshmen list at No. 36 and 82, in respective order.
SCOUTING PITTSBURGH
The Panthers are coming off of a 3-1 loss to No. 3 North Carolina on Sunday, but prior its last outing Pitt won its first ACC match in three years in a 2-1 overtime thriller versus Boston College on Oct. 10.
Amanda West has scored eight out of the team's 18 goals this season, and paces the squad with 24 points. Amaia Pena has played a majority of time in goal for the Panthers, and owns a 1.60 goals-against average. As a team, the goalkeepers have tallied two shutouts this season.

The Pack will return to Raleigh for the first of its last two home games of the regular season. NC State will host Syracuse Oct. 24 at Dail Soccer Stadium in a 7 p.m. contest on the ACC Network Extra.
