#15 Wolfpack Set to Host #17 North Georgia

RALEIGH -Â After opening its 2019-20 season with a win last weekend, the NC State rifle team comes to Reynolds Coliseum for its first home match this weekend. The No. 15 Wolfpack are set to take on No. 17 North Georgia Sunday, Oct. 20 starting at 8 a.m. in Reynolds Coliseum. The match will be broadcast on ACCNX.
The Wolfpack defeated No. 23 VMI on Oct. 12, led by a career-high mark in air rifle by sophomore Emily Fisher, who took the top individual spots in smallbore, air rifle, and the aggregate scores. Freshmen Makenzie Sheffield and Addy Burrow and senior Claire Zanti all checked in in the top ten individually, taking spots five, seven and ten, respectively.
North Georgia began its conference play on Oct. 12, defeating Southern Conference opponent Wofford, 4593-4484. The Nighthawks have split their matches this season, dropping their first matchup of the season to No. 14 Morehead State Oct. 5. North Georgia travels to No. 23 VMI on Oct. 19 before th Oct. 20 trip to Raleigh, N.C.
NC State holds a 3-0 record against the Nighthawks, recording three wins in 2017 against North Georgia.
