
No. 15 Rifle Defeats No. 17 North Georgia in Top-20 Home Matchup

RALEIGH -Â The 15th-ranked NC State rifle team set a slew of new career-high marks in its 4640-4565 win over No. 17Â North Georgia, Sunday in Reynolds Coliseum. Three members recorded new career-highs, extending the Wolfpack's record to 4-0 against the Nighthawks.Â
Wolfpack women took the top three aggregate spots in the matchup, with sophomore Emily Fisher shooting a 591 in air rifle and 577 in smallbore to finish in the top spot with a score of 1168.
Fisher was followed in the standings by freshman Makenzie Sheffield, who set career highs in both smallbore and air rifle to finish the day with the second-highest aggregate score.
Freshman Addy Burrow recorded career high marks in both smallbore and air rifle, notching a career-high aggregate score of 1160 that was good for third place.
In total, the Wolfpack accounted for five of the top ten aggregate scores with Claire Zanti finishing in the ninth-place position and Aron Tinter placing tenth.

- Fisher recorded a near-perfect score in the prone series, recording a 199.
- Burrow fired a career-high 572, highlighted by a score of 193 in the standing series.
- Sheffield shot a 575 in smallbore, notching a new career-high.
