#2 Ohio State Claims 26-10 Home Win over #9 @PackWrestle

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The #9 NC State wrestling team fell in road action at #2 Ohio State, 26-10.

The dual started at 141 pounds and the teams split the first four bouts.

The Buckeyes' #2 Joey McKenna started with a 10-2 major decision over Jamal Morris and then #3 Micah Jordan notched the winning takedown with six seconds left to defeat #4 Justin Oliver, 6-5, at 149 pounds.

The Pack battled back from 7-0 to get the team score within a point at 7-6 with back-to-back decisions at 157 and 165 pounds.

#5 Hayden Hidlay scored a pair of takedowns in the second and third periods and scored a 7-2 win over #8 Ke-Shawn Hayes, Hidlay's second top-10 win of the season.

#18 Thomas Bullard needed overtime, but he came out with a 4-2 decision at 165 pounds. Bullard scored on a counter 22 seconds into the extra period for the win.

The Buckeyes' Te'Shan Campbell pickup up a 4-1 decision over Daniel Bullard to give Ohio State the 10-6 lead at intermission.

The Buckeyes won the first three bouts after the intermission and clinched the team score going into the final two matches.

#1 Myles Martin scored a 12-5 decision over #3 Nick Reenan at 184 pounds, followed by a major decision at 197 and decision at 285 pounds.

At 125 pounds, #10 Sean Fausz used multiple takedowns and a large amount to ride time to secure an 11-2 major decision.

The final bout was another top-10 battle between #5 Luke Pletcher and #7 Tariq Wilson, but had to be stopped in the second period due to an injury to Wilson.
