Swimming and Diving to Host Fourth Annual Wolfpack Games Friday

RALEIGH – The NC State swimming and diving program will host its first event of the 2018-19 season on Friday evening as it holds its Fourth Annual Wolfpack Games. The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center.
The 2018 Wolfpack Games will showcase NC State's roster for the upcoming season, as the night will be filled with unique activities involving the Wolfpack student-athletes. The event will also serve as an opportunity to celebrate the program-best five national titles from the 2018 NCAA Championships. Ring ceremonies honoring the Pack's national champions from last season will be spread throughout the evening.
ORDER OF EVENTS:
1. Mini Open Water
2. 800 Freestyle Relay Ring Ceremony
The Wolfpack defended its title in the 800 freestyle relay in 2018, with Andreas Vazaios, Jacob Molacek, Justin Ress and Ryan Held teaming up to break the NCAA, U.S. Open, ACC and school records on the way to winning gold.
3. Diving Circus
4. Anton Ipsen 1650 Freestyle Ring Ceremony
Ipsen ended his NC State career on top at the 2018 NCAA Championships. He won the 1,650 freestyle title with a time of 14:24.43, breaking the school and ACC records.
5. Hail Mary Flop
6. Andreas Vazaios 200 Butterfly Ring Ceremony
Vazaios put up a record-breaking performance on the way to winning the 200 butterfly championship. His time of 1:38.60 in the title race made him the first man in the ACC to clock a sub-1:40.00 mark in the event.
7. Hypoxic Challenge – School record challenge for 50-yard underwater kick
8. Coleman Stewart 100 Backstroke Ring Ceremony
Stewart was the first individual to win gold at the 2018 NCAA Championships, making him the Pack's first individual champion since 2006. He took first in the event with a time of 44.58.
9. Tug of War
10. 400 Freestyle Relay Ring Ceremony
The Wolfpack won the final event of the 2018 NCAA Championships as Ryan Held, Justin Ress, Jacob Molacek and Coleman Stewart finished first in the 400 freestyle relay. Their time of 2:44.31 broke the school, NCAA, American and U.S. Open records.
11. Mixed Gender Relay – School record attempt for 5x50-yard freestyle mixed gender relay
