Wolfpack Completes First Day At Milwaukee Tennis Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – Four members of the NC State men's tennis team were in action at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic Thursday, where they completed the first round of singles and doubles competition.
Sophomore Robert Turzak picked up a straight-sets singles win in the first round to advance in the main draw. He defeated Daniel Krutik of Saint Mary's College of California 6-2, 6-3 and earned a spot in the round of 32, which will be played Friday.
The Pack also picked up a doubles victory on the day, as Michael Ogden and Collin Shick won an 8-5 decision over Saint Mary's College of California's Krutik and Matis Bot.
FRIDAY'S SCHEDULE:
The Wolfpack is set to play another full slate of matches at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic Friday. The tournament will resume with two rounds of the singles main draw, as well as a round of matches in the back draw. The doubles round of 16 will also be played Friday. Updated draws will be posted here.
Igor Saveljic and Ivan Saveljic will also be in action as they open play at the UVA Masters in Charlottesville, Va. The duo will begin in the doubles semifinals after receiving a first-round bye as the bracket's top seed. Live scoring will not be available. Their full schedule for the first day of the UVA Masters is below.
