GREENSBORO, N.C. – The No. 17 NC State women's soccer team closed out its nonconference slate on Wednesday afternoon with a 1-0 win over UNCG at UNCG Soccer Stadium.
The Wolfpack improves to 7-1-1 on the year, marking the second consecutive season with just one loss in the nonconference portion of its schedule, while the Spartans fall to 5-2-1.
The start to the season matches last year's 7-1-1 record through its first nine matches when the Pack reached the NCAA Second Round. Wednesday's win also improves the team's record on the road to 4-0.
