Women’s Soccer To Host Monmouth In Home Opener Monday

RALEIGH – After earning a season-opening win at Navy on Thursday evening, the No. 20 NC State women's soccer team will open its home slate Monday when it welcomes Monmouth to Dail Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is 7 p.m. and the match will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
Both teams enter the contest with a 1-0-0 record.

-Free Student Food - All students (with a valid student ID) will be able to get free food as well as ice cream from Howling Cow while supplies last
-Student Wolfpack Club Night - Members of the Student Wolfpack Club will be encouraged to attend the match and support the Wolfpack to earn points
Series History
NC State and Monmouth have only met once prior to Monday's contest. On Oct. 14, 1989, the Hawks traveled to Raleigh and the Pack won 5-0.
Last Time Out
The Pack opened its season on Thursday at Navy and picked up a 2-1 win. After the Midshipmen took a 1-0 advantage the 33rd minute, Tziarra King scored a pair of goals in the 69th and 73rd minutes to propel her team to a victory.

NC State was ranked in three preseason polls heading into the 2018 season, while King and Ricci Walkling earned preseason honors from various associations.

The Hawks were picked to win the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference after clinching the 2017 MAAC regular season and conference championship titles to earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Monmouth had four named to the preseason All-MAAC Team while Madie Gibson was named preseason Player of the Year.
The squad opened its season on Friday when it traveled to New Jersey Institute of Technology and earned a 1-0 win thanks to Dana Scheriff's game-winner in the second minute of the contest.
