Moldovan, Stenta Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

TEMPE, Ariz. - Two NC State women's tennis players were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2017-18 season. Bianca Moldovan and Tayla Stenta earned the academic recognition, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Tuesday.
A senior during the 2017-18 season, Tayla Stenta closes out her career as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the third time. Rising senior Bianca Moldovan has now been named an ITA Scholar-Athlete the past two seasons. Coach Simon Earshaw has had players honored six times during his time at NC State.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).
