BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – NC State track and field student-athlete Von Douglas earned third place in the men's long jump final Friday afternoon at the 2018 USA Track and Field Junior Outdoor Championships.

Douglas, a rising sophomore for NC State, recorded his best mark of 7.57 meters on his third jump of six attempts in the finals. LSU's JuVaughn Blake took the top spot at 7.68 meters.

Classmate Michelle Cobb also competed in the triple jump for NC State. Cobb recorded her best mark of 12.22 meters on her second of three attempts to finish 14th.

Gabriele Cunningham will continue the summer action for NC State this upcoming weekend, participating at the USATF Outdoor Championships from June 21-24.
