
Kowohl Continues Strong Play At NCAA San Francisco Regional

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – NC State women's golf's Laura Kowohl continued her strong play in the NCAA San Francisco Regional on Tuesday afternoon at TPC Harding Park, as she shot another one-under par 71 for a combined 142 (-2) in the tournament. The score is good enough to sit at 11th place out of 96 players.
As a team the 33rd-ranked Wolfpack is 14th of out of 18 in the tournament field with a combined 592 (+16), after posting another 296 (+8) in round two. No. 16 Kent State and No. 5 Stanford are tied for the lead in the team standings at 574 (-2), while No. 1 UCLA is one stroke back in third.
Cecily Overbey remains among the top 30 in the individual standings in T29th as she shot a two-over 74 for a two-day score of 146 (+2). India Clyburn sits two strokes behind Overbey at 148 after carding a 74 as well to sit in a tie for 43rd.
Mim Sangkapong shaved two strokes off of Monday's round, shooting a 77 (+5) on Tuesday and is T83rd overall with a 156 (+12). Naomi Ko rounded out the team's lineup with a 79, improving a stroke from day one, to share a tie for 87th with a 159.
The Pack will conclude NCAA Regional play Wednesday when it tees off hole 10 between 12:05 and 12:45 p.m. ET with California and Princeton.
