Wolfpack earns fifth shutout win of the season
Four different NC State pitchers combined to shut out the Tribe, striking out 10 batters and the staff did not issue a walk in the game.
NC State moves to 32-12 on the year, while William & Mary falls to 15-30. Reid Johnston picked up the win and remains unbeaten with a 7-0 record to tie for the ACC lead in wins, while Tribe starter Bodie Sheehan took the loss (2-7).

- Following a single by Josh McLain and a pair of walks to load the bases, the Pack pushed across its second run of the contest on a sacrifice fly to right field by Evan Edwards.
- NC State extended the lead to 3-0 in the sixth after Shane Shepard pinch-hit with runners at second and third and hit a sharp ground ball to the right side, but a nice defensive play took away a base hit and he settled for an RBI groundout as Bailey scored.
- Bailey led off the eighth inning with a solo homer over the right field wall to stretch the Wolfpack's advantage to 4-0 on his ninth round-tripper to lead all freshmen in the ACC. He tallied his first multi-homer game and homered from both sides of the plate.
