RALEIGH – The #42 NC State women's tennis team will look to add two more ACC victories when it takes on Louisville on Apr. 6 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center and Notre Dame on Apr. 8 at the Courtney Tennis Center.
From the Coach
"We are getting to the business end of the season and this weekends matches at Louisville and Notre Dame are our final regular season road trip," said head coach Simon Earnshaw. "A lot of what we do outside of the matches is to build every month to be at our peak at this stage of the season. Starting with Louisville tomorrow I'm sure both of our opponents are going to be fighting incredibly hard, every team in this league is going to give it everything they have each and every match which is why it's so competitive every time out. That being said, at this point the girls know what they need to do, as long as they stick to their plans as much as possible and play to their strengths then good things will happen. Then the main thing is to support each other and to play as hard as possible from start to finish, we've been doing a better job of that recently and hope to continue this weekend. Go Pack!"
Last time out for the Wolfpack
The Pack split its most recent matches; it fell 4-3 to Clemson on Mar. 30 then earned a 4-3 win over Virginia Tech on Mar. 31. NC State won the doubles point in both matches and against Virginia Tech Adriana Reami clinched the win at No. 2 in a three-set thriller 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.
Pack in the Rankings
NC State landed at #42 in the latest Oracle/ITA team rankings, Anna Rogers and Claudia Wiktorin were tabbed at #19 in doubles while Rogers was ranked #80 in singles.
