
Softball Welcomes UNCG This Weekend For Non-Conference Series

RALEIGH – The NC State softball team returns to Dail Stadium this weekend when it hosts UNCG in a three-game non-conference series. The teams will play a doubleheader at 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday and meet for the finale Sunday at 12 p.m. All three games will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra and Saturday is the program's Alumni Day.
The Wolfpack enters the weekend with a 22-26 record while the Spartans are 39-9 this season.
Last Time Out
NC State traveled to East Carolina for its final midweek game of the season on Wednesday, and was edged 2-1. Starting pitcher Devin Wallace threw a complete game, scattering nine base hits while giving up one earned run in the tough luck loss.
Lily Bishop scored the team's lone run with a pinch-hit home run in the seventh inning to left field.
All-Time Series
Saturday will mark the 17th time the teams have met in program history, as NC State leads the all-time series 13-3. The teams last met on April 20, 2016 in Greensboro, N.C., and the Pack earned a 15-6 run-rule win.
NC State has won of the last five meetings between the squads.
