
Kowohl Remains Among Top 15 Through Two Rounds Of #ACCWGolf Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State women's golf's Laura Kowohl put together another solid round on Saturday in the second round of the ACC Women's Golf Championship at Grandover's East Course in Greensboro, N.C. She shot a two-over par 74 to remain in the top 15 of the player standings, as she is T14th overall with a 147 (+3) and continues to pace the squad in the tournament.
The Wolfpack moved up a spot to T9th out of 12 teams, improving four strokes from Saturday's round with a 299 (+11) for a combined score of 602 (+26). Duke (563, -13), Florida State (580, +4) and Clemson (582, +7) continue to round out the top three of the field.
India Clyburn shaved nine strokes off her previous round, firing a two-under par 70 to sit two strokes behind Kowohl with a 149 (+5) at T22nd. She was one of seven players to turn in an under-par score on Saturday.
Cecily Overbey turned in a three-over 75 for a 36-hole score of 152 (+8) to sit in a tie for 34th, while Naomi Ko shot 82 (+10) for share a tie for 47th with a 12-over par 156.
Monika Hartl shot another 80 in the second round for a combined 160 (+16) to round out the Pack's lineup at 56th overall.
NC State will wrap up competition at the ACC Championship Monday. The team will tee off hole 10 between 8:00 and 8:40 a.m. with Boston College and Notre Dame.
