Rogers Continues to Climb Oracle/ITA Singles Rankings

Anna Rogers moves up from #113 to #51 in latest national rankings
TEMPE, Ariz. – The latest Oracle/ITA rankings have been released and the NC State women's tennis team was again featured; Claudia Wiktorin & Anna Rogers were ranked #13 in doubles, the Wolfpack was ranked #40 as a team and Rogers moved up to #51 in singles, as announced by the organization Tuesday.
Since the last team rankings announcement on Feb. 27, the Wolfpack won its only match when it defeated Boston College 6-1 on Mar. 4 at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
Doubles
The duo of Claudia Wiktorin & Anna Rogers continued to be recognized as one of the top doubles tandems in the nation, as they were listed at #13. In the Wolfpack's 6-1 win over ACC foe Boston College on Mar. 4, they defeated Kylie Wilcox and Jackie Urbinati 6-1. On Mar. 24 against Arizona they overcame Tayla Zandberg and Mary Lewis 6-1 while on Feb. 21 against ETSU they earned a 6-1 win over Alory Pereira and Ionna Markesini.
Singles
Moving up from #113 in the Feb. 20 rankings, Rogers was tabbed at #51. Rogers has earned a string of impressive victories playing at the No. 1 position; she defeated Boston College's Asiya Dair 6-3, 7-5 on Mar. 4 and Arizona's Mary Lewis 6-4, 7-5 on Feb. 24. On Feb. 21 she picked up a pair of wins, first 6-4, 6-3 over #8 Alle Sanford of #1 UNC-CH then 6-1, 6-0 over Ionna Markesini of ETSU.
