RALEIGH – The #42 NC State women's tennis team will look at add another ACC win when it hosts #6 Georgia Tech Sunday at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
From the Coach
"It's good to be back home and to have been able to put in a full week of practice is big at this stage of the season," said head coach Simon Earnshaw. "When you're on the road it's difficult to have continuity with player development, although it was brief we've seen some growth this week. Every week and every match in this league the approach is the same. Georgia Tech have been one of the top teams in the league the past couple of years, but this spring anything can happen on any given day, with the scoring format it really just depends on the day. We are going to play as hard as we possibly can and then some more, I feel we're very close to a breakthrough. Go Pack!"
Last time out for the Wolfpack
The Pack split of pair of ACC matches in the state of Florida; On Mar. 16 it defeated No. 30 Florida State 4-3 then it fell to No. 19 Miami 5-2 on Mar. 18.
Earnshaw Obtains 800th Career Win
Head Coach Simon Earnshaw earned the 800th win of his career on Mar. 9 with the Wolfpack's 7-0 win over South Dakota. Prior to coming to NC State in 2014 Earnshaw accumulated a record of 747-118 at Armstrong State as he went 411-35 with the women's team and 325-11 with the men's team. Since coming to NC State in 2014 he has a 53-46 record, with the Pack's win over South Dakota being the 800th of his career.
