RALEIGH – With a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line, the fourth-seeded NC State women's basketball team (25-8) hosts fifth-seeded Maryland (26-7) on Sunday afternoon inside Reynolds Coliseum. Tip-off is scheduled for shortly after 2 pm with live national television coverage provided by ESPN2.
NC State thoroughly dominated Elon by a final score of 62-35 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on March 16. Maryland dispatched Princeton by a final score of 77-57 on the same day.

Maize has swatted two blocks or more on 15 occasions so far this year. Her season and career high mark of five came in the Nov. 23 win over Alabama and was tied in the win over No. 10 Florida State on Feb. 1. Genia Beasley holds the program record of 73 blocks during the 1978-79 season.
