
Pack Remains In Fifth Through Two Rounds At Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Thanks to a pair of players sitting among the top 20 of the individual standings, the NC State women's golf team remains in fifth place out of 17 through the second round of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate.
Hosted by Tulane at English Turn Country Club, the Wolfpack shot a combined score of 298 (+10) on Monday for a 36-hole total of 592 (+16). Florida continues to lead the tournament field with an eight-over par 584, while Southern Cal (585) and Michigan State (588) round out the top three of the team standings.
Cecily Overbey remains in the top 10 of the individual standings, sharing a tie for fifth after shooting 75 (+3) on Monday for a 36-hole total of 144 (E). Naomi Ko moved into the top 20 of the player standings at T19th after shaving three strokes off of her first round, turning in a one-over par 73 for a combined 149 (+5).
Laura Kowohl posted a two-over par 74, improving three strokes from round one, to sit in a tie for 33rd with a 151 (+7). Mim Sangkapong sits one stroke back from Kowohl at 152 after shooting 76 in the second round.
India Clyburn rounds out the Pack's top five, as she is T42nd with a two-day total of 153 after shooting 80 on Monday.
NC State will conclude play Tuesday at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate. The team is slated to tee off at 9 a.m. ET in a shotgun start with players from UNC-Chapel Hill and SMU.
