RALEIGH, N.C. – The #7 NC State wrestling team will be in home action Tuesday night, as the Wolfpack will host in-state rival Appalachian State at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.

197: Malik McDonald vs. Randall Diabe
McDonald is moving back down to 197 pounds for his final season, where he was a NCAA Qualifier in 2016 when he was the Pack's starter. Diabe posted a 20-9 record last season was a 2018 NCAA Qualifier, going 1-2 at the NCAAs, and was a preseason All-Southern Conference selection. The two N.C. natives have met twice in their collegiate careers, with McDonald taking both wins – 4-1 in the 2015-16 dual and by major decision in the 2016-17 dual.

@PACKWRESTLE AND MOUNTAINEERS MEET AGAIN
Tuesday night's dual between NC State and Appalachian State marks the sixth straight year the teams are meeting in a dual. NC State has won all five prior meetings in this stretch by a combined 142-43, including last year's 34-3 win in Boone. Last year, NC State won nine of the 10 bouts, including three for bonus point wins.

SEVEN STARTERS RANKED, FIVE IN TOP-10
In this week's rankings from InterMat, seven Wolfpack starters are ranked in the top-20 in their weight class, including five in the top-10 - both marks lead the ACC.

All five starters from the 2016 #1 recruiting class are in lineup together and ranked: Hayden Hiday (#2 at 157), Tariq Wilson (#4 at 133), Nick Reenan (#6 at 184), Daniel Bullard (#17 at 174) and Thomas Bullard (#19 at 165).

In their final seasons, Justin Oliver (#5 at 149) and Sean Fausz (#7 at 125), are ranked.

@PACKWRESTLE STARTS SEASON 4-0 IN DUALS
NC State has started the 2018-19 campaign with a 4-0 record in dual action. The Pack has outscored its first three opponents 142-27, and has won 33 of the 40 matches in those duals. The Pack has racked up 20 bonus wins in the 33 duals victories.

Over the last four seasons, NC State has won 54 of its last 59 duals (.915), the second-best winning percentage in the NCAA behind only Penn State.

@PACKWRESTLE CLIMBS TO #7 NATIONALLY
Starting the season ranked #8 in the preseason Theraworx NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches' Poll for the second straight year, NC State is now ranked #7 for the second straight week.

Dating back to the 2015-16 season, NC State has been ranked in the top-10 in each of the last 45 polls, after having not appeared in the top-10 at all since 1993.

LAST YEAR VS. APPALACHIAN STATE
The #6 NC State wrestling team won nine of the 10 bouts on the day, and came away with a dominating 34-3 win at Appalachian State. The dual started at 149 pounds, and NC State reeled off three straight wins to take a 12-0 lead.
