NC State quickly removed any doubt of what Saturday's outcome would be, getting out to a 20-7 lead over the 2018 America East champion through 10 minutes of action and taking a 50-17 advantage into the halftime break. The Wolfpack at one point led by 50 points (73-23) in the third quarter and entered the final ten minutes of the game shooting 31-44 (.705), a mark which would have been the single-best shooting performance in program history.

"I'm really impressed with how we came out tonight," NC State head coach Wes Moore said in his postgame radio interview with broadcasters Patrick Kinas and Ashley Eli. "During finals week, you never know what you're going to get. As you mentioned, we shot the heck out of it for 30 minutes. Really, we could do no wrong for 30 minutes. We enjoyed that. I wish we could bottle it up and duplicate it every night, but obviously that's hard to do. I'm really proud with the way that we came out with so much energy and ready to play tonight."
