#13 Wolfpack Hosts Wolverines Thursday in ACC/B1G Challenge

RALEIGH – The 13th-ranked NC State women's basketball team (6-0) begins a three-game home stand on Thursday evening when Michigan comes to town for the 2018 installment of the ACC/B1G Challenge. Tip-off between the Wolfpack and Wolverines is scheduled for 7 pm from Kay Yow Court at James T. Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum. The game will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.

THURSDAY PROMOTIONS
-Inclusion Night. In partnership with the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity (OIED), the OIED Staff and the Chancellor's African American Community Advisory Council (CAACAC) will be recognized during the game to bring attention to the diverse culture NC State prides itself on.

A WIN ON THURSDAY WOULD...
-Be the 895th win in program history (894-461).
-Be head coach Wes Moore's 677th win (676-221).
-Be the 464th win at Reynolds Coliseum (463-131).
-Be Moore's 119th win at NC State (118-52).
-Be NC State's first 7-0 start since the 1999-2000 team began the season 14-0.

-No. 8 nationally in rebound margin (+16.2).
-Senior center Hallie Thome was recently named to the Wade Trophy Award Watch List for the best player in college basketball. She leads the Wolverines with 15.8 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY (TIED 1-1)
-Each team claimed its victory in the series at home.
-In the last meeting, Michigan won 63-52 in Ann Arbor during the 2008 ACC/B1G Challenge.
-In the first meeting, NC State won 81-64 in Raleigh during the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Mar. 17, 1990.

QUITE A STREAK
NC State has won 22 consecutive non-conference games played at home. The Wolfpack's last loss in Raleigh to a non-ACC team came on Dec. 13, 2015.

100 GAMES AT NC STATE
The next appearance for DD Rogers will mark her 100th game at NC State. The senior has made at least 30 appearances in each of her first three completed seasons.

CANCUN CHALLENGE MVP
Grace Hunter was named the MVP of the Cancun Challenge Riviera Division. The redshirt junior averaged a double-double in wins over Michigan State and George Washington with 18.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 15-26 (.576) from the field and 4-8 (.500) from distance.

NO EASY SHOTS
Through six games this season, NC State has held each opponent to shooting .393 or lower from the field.

SOPHOMORE JUMP
Sophomores Kayla Jones and Kai Crutchfield have made massive jumps from their first to second years at NC State. Last season, the duo combined for 2.6 points per game. This season? 11.5.

STRONG BEGINNING
Through the first six games of her career, freshman center Elissa Cunane is averaging 13.3 ppg. to rank second on the team. The Summerfield, N.C., native is also shooting .609 from the field and averaging 4.5 rebounds per game.

CANADIAN SHARPSHOOTER
Junior guard Aislinn Konig has hit at least one three-pointer in 39 consecutive games dating back to Nov. 15, 2017. She hit 91 last season, setting a new program single-season record. The previous mark of 90 was held by Jennifer Howard since the 1995-96 season.

The junior guard is averaging 3.5 made three-pointers per game so far this season.
