Wolfpack Visits Lancers Tuesday Evening

RALEIGH – The NC State men's soccer team (6-3-2) concludes a brief road swing Tuesday evening when it visits Longwood. Kickoff between the Wolfpack and Lancers is scheduled for 7 pm from Farmville, Va., with live video coverage provided by ESPN+.

SEEKING CONSECUTIVE NCAA TOURNAMENTS
The Wolfpack's appearance in the 2017 NCAA Tournament was the program's first since 2009. If NC State were to qualify for the 2018 NCAA Tournament, it would mark the first time the program qualified for back-to-back postseasons since the 1991 and 1992 seasons.

UNITED SOCCER COACHES ACADEMIC AWARD
The NC State men's soccer team earned its 10th consecutive United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, the organization announced Oct. 4 when it released the data for the 2017-18 school year.

KIEFER'S NCAA STREAK
Second-year head coach George Kiefer has qualified for 11 NCAA Championships as a head coach (10 at USF). Including his time with the Bulls and the 2017 season with the Wolfpack, he has led his teams to the postseason in 10 of the last 11 years.

STRETCH RUN
NC State's final five matches of the 2018 regular season feature three contests on the road. The Wolfpack will also host UNC-Chapel Hill (Oct. 12) and Syracuse (Oct. 20) at Dail Soccer Stadium.

BALANCED SCORING AND FIRST CAREER GOALS
NC State's 14 goals this season have come from nine different players. Newcomer Gabriel Machado leads the team with four, three of which are match winners.
