NC State Track & Field Releases 2018-19 Schedule

Wolfpack to Play Host to Raleigh Relays Mar. 29-30
RALEIGH, N.C. -- The NC State track & field team has released the 2018-19 indoor and outdoor schedules, as announced by head coach Rollie Geiger. The team has 17 indoor meets and 13 outdoor meets on its 2018-19 slate. The Wolfpack will play host to the Raleigh Relays March 29-30, its lone home meet of the season.
INDOOR SEASON
The 2018-19 track & field season will kick off with outdoor competition at the JDL Kickoff in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Saturday, Dec. 1. The Pack will also be in Boston for the BU Season Opener Dec. 1-2. On Dec. 8, the Pack will send competitors to the Clemson Opener in Clemson, S.C., to wrap up 2018 competition.
The team will return to Clemson, S.C., for the Clemson Orange/Purple Power 5 meet on Friday, Jan. 11. The following weekend the Pack will send competitors to Blacksburg, Va., for the Virginia Tech Hokie Invite, giving the team its first look at the ACC Indoor Championships venue.
There will be Pack members competing in three different places Jan. 25-26. The team will send competitors to the Virginia Military Institute Invite in Lexington, Va., the Texas Tech Invite in Lubbock, Texas, and the Boston Terrier Classic in Boston.
The weekend of Feb. 1-2 features two different meets for the NC State track & field program, as it will compete at the Virginia Tech Elite Invite in Blacksburg, Va., and the Camel City Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The following weekend, the Pack will be at three different meets: the Clemson Tiger Paw Invite in Clemson, S.C., the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa, and the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash.Â
The team will round out regular season competition in Blacksburg, Va., at the Virginia Tech Challenge and in Winston-Salem, N.C., at the JDL Classic Feb. 15-16.
Traveling to Blacksburg, Va., for the fourth time in its indoor season, the Pack will compete at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, Feb. 23. Pack members that qualify will travel to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Mar. 8-9 in Birmingham, Ala.
OUTDOOR SEASON
Outdoor competition will begin on Mar. 15-16 in Orlando, Fla., at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge. The following weekend, the Wolfpack will make the short trip to Chapel Hill, N.C., to compete at UNC-CH Mar. 22-23.
NC State will host its lone home meet of the season on Mar. 29-30. The Raleigh Relays will take place at the Dail Soccer Field/Track Complex. The meet is known as one of the premier track meets on the East Coast.
After a two-week break from competition, the team will compete at the Tennessee Relays in Knoxville, Tenn., and at the UNC Charlotte Invite in Charlotte, N.C., Apr. 11-13. The team will then send competitors to the UVA Challenge in Charlottesville, Va., and to the Duke Invite in Durham, N.C., Apr. 18-20.Â
In its last weekend of regular season competition, NC State will compete at the 125th celebration of the historic Penn Relays Apr. 25-27 in Philadelphia, Pa. The Wolfpack will also send competitors to the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, Fla., and to the UVA Grand Prix in Charlottesville, Va., that weekend.
The Wolfpack will start postseason competition at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The event will be hosted by the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., May 9-11. Wolfpack athletes that qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds will travel to Florida two weeks later, as the NCAA Regional event will take place in Jacksonville, Fla., May 23-25. The University of Texas will host the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas, from June 5-8.
