Women’s Soccer Travels To #11 Virginia Thursday For Regular Season Finale

RALEIGH – The NC State women's soccer team will close out its regular season Thursday when it travels to No. 11 Virginia for a 6 p.m. contest at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville, Va. The match will be broadcast through the ACC Regional Sports Networks.
The Wolfpack, who continues to receive votes for the national polls, enters the matchup with a 10-5-3 (3-4-2 ACC) record while the Cavaliers are 13-3-0 (6-3-0 ACC) this season.
Series History
Thursday will mark the 43rd time that the teams will meet in program history, as Virginia leads the all-time series 26-13-3.
Last year the Cavaliers traveled to Raleigh on Sept. 15 and the teams battled to a 0-0 draw. The Pack's last win over Virginia was on Sept. 24, 2009, a 2-1 result in Raleigh.
Last Time Out
NC State dropped a 2-1 contest with Louisville on Sunday afternoon at Dail Soccer Stadium.
Despite a second-half goal by Courtney Walker to pull the team within one along with a couple of last minute chances, the Wolfpack was unable to level the score.
